Erik is one of the main characters in Mako Mermaids, seasons 2. He is a merman.
When Erik arrives on the scene, he is shocked that Zac is already the sole merman in town. This creates a rivalry between the two, fighting for the place of the ultimate merman of Mako. Ondina and Mimmi however, do not realize he is here, and mistake Zac for being the one greedy to take over Mako. Erik and Zac attempt to swim faster than each other, but which of them is really the best? The war is on. Eric is very greedy for power, even risking his relationship with Ondina and fellow mermaids to gain more power to even claim Mako Island. After dating Ondina he is found constantly late to work at the Ocean Cafe, due to him talking and swimming with Ondina and even talking to her when he is at work. When David leaves Carly in charge to go to an expo which would help him manage his business. Carly fires Erik for being constantly late. When David returns he says yes with Carly's decision and Erik is told he is always welcome back for a drink or two.
A nice guy that's constantly jealous of Zac. He loves Ondina, even selling his own underwater treasures to throw her an expensive party at the Cafe. This shows he is also kind and caring. He also gets the trident stone and uses it to start up the merman chamber, however, after discovering that it drains the magic of mermaids, he tries to stop it, but fails.
Erik is a young man with light tan skin and dirty blond hair that is wavy and is short in length. He has captivating blue eyes, white teeth and full lips, and as a merman he has a bright blue tail with dark blue markings on it.
Ondina and Erik were a couple in Season 2 and most of Season 3 (second half of Season 3, separate seasons according to Netflix). Ondina broke it off with Erik after he attempted to activate the Merman Chamber, which almost destroyed the mermaid's powers and the mermaids.
- Erik and Ondina were a couple in Season 2, but they broke up later in the season. Erik was also born a merman suggesting that there are more mermen out there.
"I'm a merman, that chamber is mine as much as it is yours" - Erik to Zac when he wants to activate the merman chamber. (S2E25:The Trident Stone)
